Job Opportunity of Plant Operator Positions at Sibanye-Stillwater
Minimum Required Qualification
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 / NQF 4 / Pass Abet level 4
- Process skills program or qualification in metallurgy
- Computer literate for the role
Advantageous Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates who have previously served as a plant operator grade 2.
Key Responsibilities
The Plant Operator Grade 2 is responsible for fulfilling a shift role that involves ensuring the operational, controlled, and maintained status of various processes within the designated section/area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating, cleaning, monitoring, and reporting on different equipment to ensure process flow meets operational objectives
- Collaborating on pre-planned work with immediate supervisors and team members on a daily basis
- Basic organizing, coordinating, and adherence to set controls in accordance with provided standards and procedures
- Shift handover duties
