The University of the Free State is hiring for an Intern: Off-Campus Accommodation Administrator

Description

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to all accredited addresses managed by Off-Campus Accommodation Service Providers and send emails to them.
  • Answer the phone; respond to inquiries regarding accredited Off-Campus Accommodation addresses and take messages. Liaison with potential Off-Campus Accommodation Service Providers, students, and visitors and answering their questions.
    Inform Off-Campus Accommodation Service Providers of UFS policies, procedures, protocols, and directives applicable to them.
  • Deliver correspondence and documentation to potential Off-Campus Accommodation Service Providers for accreditation (via email).
  • Coordinate Off-Campus Accommodation Service Providers meetings.
  • Prepare inspection reports for all student addresses in each cluster with the assistance of the administrator.
    Assist with administrative tasks related to student activities in the Off-Campus Accommodations. Maintain an organized filing system for correspondence and documentation of UFS students, including complaints and claims, as requested by the Off-Campus Accommodation Administrator.
  • Maintain a record of all students who are referred to accredited off-campus addresses.
  • Copy and scan documents.
    Assist with any other duties which may be required by HRA.

Inherent Job Requirements:

In business administration, a bachelor’s degree or a B-Tech degree on NQF 7 is required.

Recommendations:

•    Basic knowledge of relevant building legislation.
