BMW Group Seeks Dynamic Apprentice Trainer in Pretoria
Duties and Responsibilities:
As an Apprentice Trainer, you will be tasked with:
- Leadership and Supervision
- Leading around 20 apprentices in the field of “Autotronics/Transportation Electrician.”
- Developing and implementing innovative learning and training concepts for the supervised job profile.
- Technology Integration
- Analyzing and integrating the latest technologies into apprentice training for educational purposes.
- Training Program Management
- Independently planning, conceiving, designing, scheduling, and implementing apprentice training.
- Ensuring compliance with syllabus requirements from merSETA, QCTO, NAMB, and BMW Group SA.
- Preparing learners for trade tests.
- Competence Transfer
- Transferring technical and process competence.
- Ensuring the quality review and assurance of learning content and objectives.
- Event Planning and Implementation
- Designing and implementing external and internal events.
- Organizing training courses and recruiting days.
- Maintenance and Safety
- Supporting a high standard of housekeeping.
- Overseeing routine inspections on training machines/equipment.
- Maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Qualification in Autotronics, Automotive Electrician, Transportation Electrician, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Completed trainer/facilitator training.
- Registered merSETA assessor (advantageous).
- Registered merSETA moderator (advantageous).
- At least 3 years of professional experience.
- Experience in facilitating training.
- Experience in vehicle control technology, diagnostics, testing, and analysis.
- Experience in concept development for Autotronics/Transportation Electrician learnerships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Enjoy working with young people.
- Possession of a valid passport.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
