NOTE/ Instruction:

New form Z83 must be used to submit applications quoting the relevant reference number, available from any Public Service Department or online at www.gov.za/documents. The incorrect application for employment (old Z83) will not be considered. The application must be completed, initialed and signed by the applicant. If this form is not fully completed, initialed, and signed, the application will be disqualified.

Section A, B, C, and D of the Z83 must be completed in full. Section E, F, G (Due to the limited space on the Z83, it is acceptable for applicants to indicate refer to CV or see attached). A recently updated comprehensive CV (with detailed previous experience) is required. A detailed response must be provided to the questions regarding conditions that prevent re-appointment under Part F.

In response to the communication from Human Resources, only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of their qualifications and related documents by the day of their interview, and such qualifications and other related documents must be in accordance with the job advertisement’s requirements.

When shortlisted, foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an evaluation report from the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). Applications received late or not complying with the above-mentioned instructions/requirements will not be considered.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical competency exercise that aims to test relevant technical elements of the job, which will be communicated by the Department. DPSA SMS competency assessment tools will be used to assess general managerial competencies following the interview and technical exercise. Internship performance agreements will be required of the successful candidate.
