Job Opportunity of People Delivery Assistant at Shoprite
The People Delivery Assistant is responsible for offering administrative support to the People function across Shoprite’s Western Cape Division. This role also extends to providing additional support to various stakeholders in delivering efficient and effective services related to the People functions and employee life cycle. Key responsibilities include adhering to legislative requirements, escalating concerns, resolving queries, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administrative support for the People function in the Shoprite Western Cape Division.
- Offering People support to stakeholders, covering recruitment, payroll, benefit-related queries, employee wellness, communications, onboarding, and exit management.
- Compliance with legislative requirements.
- Coordinating query resolution and communicating on behalf of others.
- Document compilation and updates.
- Data entry and processing on relevant systems.
- Maintaining filing and recording for reference and auditing.
- Using official templates and systems for administrative tasks.
- Ensuring work is completed as prioritized.
- Promoting an innovative, agile, and employee-centric culture.
- Supporting compliance with labor relations frameworks and legislation.
- Integrating and collaborating with other service areas and businesses.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Suggesting technology requirements as needed.
- Grade 12, National Senior Certificate – essential.
- Diploma in Human Resources, Administration, or equivalent – beneficial.
- 1+ year in an HR administrative or HR Assistant role, with exposure to various HR employee lifecycle aspects – essential.
- Experience within the FMCG, retail sector, or similar – beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills
- SAP HR – highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office – essential.
