Process Control Assistant Post-(Day Work): Rand Water
Maintaining good housekeeping of valve chambers, dewatering valve chambers, and opening and closing manual valves when isolating pump sets and pipelines. Maintain trench pumps, portable generators and hand held actuators and hand tools and make sure they are in good condition. Report unsafe acts and/or working conditions as well as any abnormalities to supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12/N3 with Maths and Science

An advantage will be Level 1 Water Treatment Learnership.

An advantage will be the ability to use basic hand tools and related cleaning experience

Physical fitness is required of the candidate

It is advantageous to have experience in water pumping

It would be advantageous if you had a valid driver’s license and could pass the K53 test
Primary Duties
-
Handling large hand tools and electrical and hydraulic valve actuators

Pumping and generator operation in portable trenches

By using portable pumps and diesel, assist in scouring pipelines

Valves chambers are dewatered
