Requirements:

Four-year tertiary in Psychology/Honours in Psychology/Honors in Industrial Psychology. Grade 1: 0 years’ experience. Grade 2: 8 years’ experience. Grade 3: 16 years’ experience.

Public Service Act, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, International Labour Organisation Conventions. Skills Development Act. Unemployment Insurance Act. Health Professions Act. Employment Equity Act. COIDA, POPA Act. Skills: Planning and Organizing, Communication, Computer. Analytical. Presentation. Interpersonal. Report writing, Leadership, Networking.

Duties:

Work with labour centers to deliver Employment Counselling. Provide technical support for the delivery of Employment Counselling services. Coordinate the dissemination of information about Employment and Careers to Labour Centres. Manage relationships between Employment Counselors and relevant organizations. Co-ordinate the administration of Psychometric Assessments. Supervise administrative personnel.

The Department will communicate the logistics of a technical competency test for shortlisted SMS candidates, which will test relevant technical elements of the job. DPSA SMS competency assessment tools will be used by the selection panel to assess generic managerial competencies following the interview and technical exercise. If you get the job, you’ll have to sign a performance agreement.
