About Road Accident Fund
The Road Accident Fund (RAF) serves as a state-supported insurance fund in South Africa, dedicated to compensating victims involved in road accidents.
The fund offers personal injury compensation (and, when applicable, death compensation) to individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, excluding cases caused solely by them.

Additionally, the RAF indemnifies the person responsible for the accident against claims for bodily injury (except for “emotional shock” claims) as stipulated by RAF legislation.
