About SAMPRA
SAMPRA, the South African Music Performance Rights Association, is a vital Collective Management Organisation (CMO) and a Non-Profit Organisation.
SAMPRA’s mission is to administer Neighbouring Rights (Needletime Rights) royalties on behalf of recording artists and record companies.
With over 40,000 recording artists and representation of over 98% of active record companies in South Africa, SAMPRA plays a pivotal role in the country’s music landscape.
Internship Requirements
As an intern at SAMPRA, you’ll receive comprehensive exposure in the operations of a record company.
The key exposure areas include Publishing, Public Relations, Production, and Artists & Repertoire. Here are the essential requirements for prospective interns:
- A completed qualification in Public Relations, Marketing, Music, or related fields.
- No prior work experience is required.
- Proof of qualification (certified copy of transcript and/or qualification).
- Proximity to Amanzimtoti (KZN province) or the ability to commute.
- Access to a reliable Wi-Fi network at home, as some remote work may be allowed.
- Must be a South African citizen.
- A profound passion for music and a positive attitude.
