Ubuhlebezwe Municipality 2024 Fire Fighter Trainee Programme. Ubuhlebezwe Municipality is seeking qualified individuals to join the 2024 Fire Fighter Trainee Programme.
This 18-month fixed-term contract offers a stipend of R5000.00 per month.

Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Certificate
- Fire Fighter I and II Certificates
- Hazmat Awareness & Operations
- Valid First Aid Level III or BAAA
- Medical Certificate of fitness
- Advantageous: Disaster Management Qualification
- Physically fit and able-bodied
- Expected to undergo a fitness test
- Proficiency in English and Isizulu
- No Criminal record or pending cases
- Age limit: not more than 35 years
- Code C1 driver’s license
Key Performance Areas
- Prompt response to fire station alerts
- Attending to medical and hazardous substances incidents
- Ensuring compliance with statutory legislations and Council policies
- Participation in rescue, emergency, and disaster operations
- Maintenance and testing of firefighting and medical equipment
- Administrative duties including incident reports and equipment maintenance
- Care and maintenance of firefighting assets
- Conducting fire safety inspections
- Carrying out firefighting and emergency activities for the safety of all
