Young Creatives Program for South Africans- A National Youth Service Programme
Combined with the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA), the Department of Sport, Arts & Culture is looking for creative & cultural industry young people to join The Young Creatives Programme, a National Youth Service Programme that engages youth in arts and culture and mobilises communities.
Young Creatives Program for South Africans- A National Youth Service Programme
The successful applicants will be required to fulfil the following functions:
A lot of arts and culture stuff happens at the Community Arts Centre and in schools;
Getting schools and youth groups involved in the Young Creatives Programme and other stuff at the Community Arts Centre; – Coordinate, support, and implement The Young Creatives Programme events in the community; – Develop relationships with local community organizations and other youth groups;
– Administer the monitoring of The Young Creatives Programme implementation in schools and at the Community Arts Centre; – Grow as a person.
Suitable candidates will need to satisfy all the following requirements:
– Grade 12 Certificate, tertiary qualification will be an added advantage. – Must be between 18 and 35 years old. – Must be from the creative and cultural sector. – Facilitation and presentation skills. – Language skills in English and local. – Strong communication skills and youth development experience. – Self-starter, pro-active, with attention to detail. – Can act as a role model.
