Minimum Requirements
- The 12th grade / Matriculation
- Experience cleaning for at least six months
- Having a good command of English
- Supporting customers’ basic needs
- Language specific to a particular area
- Work retail hours if you are willing and able
Advantageous:
- Bilingual
- Cleaning experience in retail store.
Job Specification
- Clean the store, shop floor, and communal areas daily before it opens, maintaining a high level of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Establish routines for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the store.
- Maintain clean restrooms and canteens and ensure they are stocked with the necessary products.
- During operating hours, be available to clean up as needed.
- Utilize the correct cleaning equipment and products for the job at hand.
- When cleaning the floor, make sure the signs showing wet floors are up and visible on both ends.
- Customers should be treated with kindness, professionalism, and assistance.
- Health and Safety Regulations must be followed when performing duties.
Special conditions of employment:
- Work retail hours if you are willing and able
- Having the ability to walk, stand, climb, kneel, bend, pull, lift, and move objects as well as pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving
- Residing close to the store and/or having reliable transportation
- Citizen of South Africa
- The criminal record and credit history must be clear
