Job Details

Position: Data Capturer
Contract: 6-month Fixed Term
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Data Capturer Job Opportunity at the University of Cape Town

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Accurate data entry for multinational research projects in tuberculosis, HIV, and vaccine trials.
Error checking and query investigation.
Quality control checks of research documentation.
Timely completion of data entries and response to data queries.
Accurate document filing.
Other research-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
1-2 years’ experience in electronic data capturing.
General computer literacy.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Fluency in English).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Willingness to work in a TB environment.

Advantageous:

Fluency in another South African Language (Afrikaans or Xhosa).
Previous research experience.
Knowledge about TB and HIV.
ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification.
Familiarity with Research Documentation Standards.
