Job Details
- Position: Data Capturer
- Contract: 6-month Fixed Term
- Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Data Capturer Job Opportunity at the University of Cape Town
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Accurate data entry for multinational research projects in tuberculosis, HIV, and vaccine trials.
- Error checking and query investigation.
- Quality control checks of research documentation.
- Timely completion of data entries and response to data queries.
- Accurate document filing.
- Other research-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience in electronic data capturing.
- General computer literacy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Fluency in English).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to work in a TB environment.
Advantageous:
- Fluency in another South African Language (Afrikaans or Xhosa).
- Previous research experience.
- Knowledge about TB and HIV.
- ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification.
- Familiarity with Research Documentation Standards.
