Duties and Responsibilities
The Flight Inspector Trainee will undergo comprehensive training in various aspects related to flight inspection and calibration of air navigation systems.
The primary focus is on ensuring compliance with ICAO standards and recommended practices for enhancing flight safety.

- Train in-Flight Inspection Mission Planning
- Prepare flight inspection missions.
- Maintain the flight inspection database for air navigation systems.
- Train and Complete Programs in Flight Inspection of Air Navigation Systems
- Execute planned flight inspection missions.
- Collect and analyze flight inspection data.
- Adjust air navigation system parameters to meet ICAO recommendations.
- Train in Reporting
- Collate flight inspection data for reporting purposes.
- Compile accurate flight inspection reports.
- Archive mission data and reports into respective databases.
- Train in Flight Inspection System Calibration
- Calibrate receivers.
- Maintain and modify the software and hardware of the CAA Flight Inspection System.
- Train in Safety and Quality Standards
- Conduct flight inspection activities in compliance with ICAO, ISO, and airworthy regulations.
- Apply ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS) and ISO standards.
- Learn About Technical Support
- Support clients’ technological systems upkeep and development.
- Respond to clients’ special requests related to technological systems.
- Communications and Safety Promotions
- Project a positive image of the FIU through continuous safety awareness programs.
Requirements
Education
- Minimum: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current).
- Ideal: B Tech in Electrical Engineering (Light Current).
Experience
- 3 years in Air Communication and Navigational Systems Engineering or CNS Inspection.
