Qualifications
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Completed a 3-year Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6).
- Possess an ITIL v3 Foundation Certification and relevant Microsoft Certifications (an added advantage).
- Maintain a clear credit history (ITC) and have no criminal record.
- Be currently unemployed.
- Not participate in another learnership or internship program.
- Demonstrate effective communication in both written and verbal English.
- Reside in the Pietermaritzburg area (relocation is not an option).
- Be under the age of 35 as of July 1, 2023.
- Be a South African Citizen of African, Coloured, or Indian descent.
Competencies and Skills
Successful candidates should have the following competencies and skills:
- Proficiency in Wintel theory, administration, and tuning.
- Knowledge of Performance Monitoring.
- Basic understanding of network communications and TCP/IP.
- Familiarity with good server and midrange design principles.
- Additional knowledge in VMware, Access Control, SQL Server, and Citrix will be advantageous.
