Globeleq Communities Bursary Programme 2024 (South African Citizens Only). Globeleq welcomes applications from eligible South African citizens for the Globeleq Communities Bursary 2024.

The application deadline is November 18, 2023, and only students entering their second year or higher in 2024 are eligible. Successful applicants must commit to a work-back agreement.

The Globeleq Education Trust holds shares in Globeleq South Africa Management Services (GSAMS), awarding approximately R10.3 million in bursaries to date.

Globeleq, a leading independent power producer in Africa, operates the Globeleq Scholarship Fund to foster skills for the renewable energy industry and ensure community sustainability.

Globeleq Communities Bursary Programme 2024 (South African Citizens Only)

The GSF Communities Fund supports students within 50km of specific solar and wind power projects. Covered expenses include registration fees, tuition, accommodation, meals, books, and approved academic support.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • South African citizenship
  • Interest in renewable energy
  • Full-time study in 2024 onwards
  • Unemployment in 2024 (not working full or part-time)
  • Application or acceptance for 2024 registration
  • Pursuing higher certificates, diplomas, degrees, or equivalent NQF-rated qualifications
  • Preference for STEM qualifications

How to Apply

Ensure accurate completion of the application form. The closing date for Globeleq GSF Engineering Sciences-2024 is November 18, 2023, at 12 midday.

Applicants must apply for their intended course and university, meeting specified entrance requirements. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.

Required Documents:

  • One-page statement on field of study choice and post-graduation plans
  • Letter of recommendation (non-relative)
  • Certified copies of South African ID (applicant and parents/guardians)
  • CV of work experience
  • Proof of household income (SASSA docs or Payslips)
  • Grade 12 Term 2 Report (stamped)
  • Certified copies of valid matric certificates
  • 2023 Official Proof of Registration
  • Certified copy of the latest academic transcript/s
  • Disability documentation (if applicable)
  • Bursary/NSFAS agreement (if funded elsewhere)
  • 2024 acceptance letter from an accredited institution
  • Consent form for applicants under 18 along with guardian proof of identity
