Responsibilities:
- A basic map showing the location of stopes and development ends
- Identify the correct scale and 3D space for plotting mapped data
- Writing basic reports
- Working in a team and effectively communicating with other departments
- An introduction to diamond drilling, as well as how to establish and manage a drilling program
- Taking core samples and logging them
- Geological data interpretation basics
Requirements:
- 12th grade
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering Geology and Geology (BSc Hons)
- There is an added advantage to having a Strata Control Certificate from the Chamber of Mines.
