Requirements:
Degree in B-Com/B-Comp/B-Accounting (major in auditing and accounting)
Skills and Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, and consensus-building skills. Numeracy and attention to detail. Honesty and transparency. Tenacity and perseverance. Able to work under pressure.
Key Accountabilities:
There is a structured training plan for the next six (6) months outlining the internship’s key skills. After the six (6) month training programme, the Intern will be coached and mentored on the following key accountabilities: Trade payables – daily payments of creditors and suppliers, Trade receivables – monitoring all sections under receivables in respect of the debtor’s ledger and aging, Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, monthly management accounts,
Creating monthly financial journals and posting them into a financial system for financial accounting, Diamond administration – processing daily/monthly sales and purchases, updating management accounts with trading activities, analyzing budgets versus actuals and preparing notes thereto, reconciling reports on all trading activities, and filing key documents within the Finance Department.
