Responsibilities
As an Internal Auditor at Volkswagen Group South Africa, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and executing individual audit steps to assess various aspects of the audited areas.
- Analyzing and evaluating departmental operations in relation to the audit’s subject matter to ensure compliance with best business practices.
- Providing recommendations to address control deficiencies, enhance system effectiveness, and identify opportunities for profit improvement or cost reduction.
- Preparing preliminary reports and securing written acceptance from Auditee Management to validate findings before the final report release.
- Documenting working papers and supporting materials to substantiate reported findings.
- Conducting follow-up audits as authorized by the Manager of Internal Audit to ensure compliance with audit report recommendations.
Education and Experience
To qualify for this position, you should have:
- A National Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Auditing.
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in internal auditing.
Skills and Attributes Essential
- Profound knowledge of internal audit processes.
- Accounting expertise.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office and SAP.
Preferred
- CA(SA) qualification.
- CIA Certificate or its equivalent (CISA or CFE).
- Basic understanding of data analysis and IT.
