The KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission, or KZN Film Commission, was established to foster the development of the film industry within the KwaZulu-Natal province.
The commission primarily supports companies based in KwaZulu-Natal and those involved in film production within the region.

KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission Announces Bursary Program for 2024 Academic Year
The KZN Film Commission is now accepting applications for its Bursary Program in preparation for the 2024 academic year.
These bursaries are intended for individuals seeking to pursue education in Film and Television Production, as well as Animation at recognized KwaZulu-Natal tertiary institutions.
Who Can Apply?
Preference will be given to the following groups:
- Previously Disadvantaged Individuals
- People Living with Disabilities
- Applicants pursuing TV/Film Production and Animation studies (Please note that qualifications for actors are not supported)
- Post-Graduate applicants for Animation studies ONLY
