About Rand Refinery
The Rand Refinery was established in 1920 and is a single site integrated refinery, smelter, and manufacturer of value-added products of precious metals.
With more than a century of gold refining experience, we are proud of our rich heritage of integrity, honesty, and excellence. Refineries accredited by the LBMA for good delivery and one of five LMBA referees around the world are working with us.
A total of 99% (100 000 kg) of the gold mined in South Africa has been refined by our company. We are accredited on a number of commodity exchanges.
Over 130 000 kg – 150 000 kg of mined gold have been refined by us from other parts of Africa. In addition to our accreditation and reputation, South Africa can participate in and monetise gold in the following ways:

- Electrical Engineering/Automation;

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this position is to effectively manage resources, staff and execute duties, which include all financial reporting in accordance with prescribed legislation and standards, within the financial department of Rand Refinery.

Responsibilities include the management of month-end closing, managing the audit processes and leading the development and implementation of effective processes, procedures & controls to ensure accurate and timeous recording and reporting of financial information.

The position includes the responsibility for all direct and indirect taxation matters of the company. The Senior Manager: Further, engages in the financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost.
