ontrol Room Operator job vacancy at Marula Platinum | APPLY WITH GRADE 12A vacancy for the position of Control Room Operator is being advertised by Marula Platinum (Pty) Limited.

THE JOB’S PURPOSE

From the control room, to monitor and control equipment and alarms, to create daily reports, and to communicate events and callouts to relevant personnel in accordance with operational procedures and systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential

• English literate

• Computer literate (MS Office Package) is essential

• Minimum 1 year experience in the underground environment is essential

• Must be self-driven, highly motivated with good people skill

• Must maintain a high standard of work

• Must have good organizing and delegation skill

• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Good engineering general knowledge

• A valid medical Certificate or be medically flt in order to obtain such a certificate

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Communication of the status of the shafts from the control room to co­ workers

• Listening to problems experienced by co-workers in the field and taking corrective action

• Analysing data, trends and making suggestions to co-workers in the field

• Identifying scenarios that may lead to problems and suggesting corrective action

• Solving problems pro-actively to prevent plant losses
