Paid Internship Opportunity – HR Intern at United Nations World Food Programme

The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, providing food assistance in emergencies, and building resilience in communities. The WFP Summer Internship Programme is seeking motivated and qualified candidates for the summer of 2023.

It will be based in Beirut, Lebanon, and will last for eight months starting on 1 June 2023.

Basic Eligibility Criteria:

A. Candidate must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (for example, a Bachelor’s degree) and have completed two years of the program; OROR

B.   Current enrollment in a graduate program (e.g., a master’s degree) at a recognized university; OR
C.    Graduating from an undergraduate or graduate programme from a recognized university within six months prior to application; and attending classes at the university within the last 12 months since enrolment;
D.    It is always a plus if you are fluent in other WFP official and working languages, as some duty stations may require it as well; AND

E.  Be capable of traveling to and working at the internship station; AND
F.    Not be sons, daughters, brothers or sisters of WFP employees; AND
G.    A candidate’s educational credentials will be recognized by the Programme if they have been certified by competent international or national bodies, such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) or the Ministry of Education.
