Psychometrist Counselor Grade 1 Position at the Department of Employment and Labour
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or an equivalent qualification. Registered with HPCSA as a Counsellor (Independent Practice) or a Psychometrist (Independent Practice). A valid driver’s license. ILO Conventions, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Psychometric Assessment. Computer skills, communication, planning, organizing, report writing, leadership, innovation, presentation, analytical skills, interpersonal skills.
Duties
Provide and implement employment counselling services. Provide and implement recruitment, psychometric assessment and selection services. Liaise with different organizations (Government, non-government, non-profit and private) to facilitate employability enhancement innervations for designated groups. Manage operations and personnel resources of the employment counselling.

The Department will communicate the logistics of a technical competency assessment to all shortlisted candidates for SMS positions. Following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tools.
A performance agreement will be signed by the successful candidate during the internship.
