We invite applications for seven vacant General worker (L2) posts at the Gauteng Department of Health.

Gauteng Department of Health is hiring General Workers
Requirements :
Grades 10 and up Are Required. A good understanding of reading and writing is required. Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
It would be advantageous if you had experience in general cleaning.
Duties :
Using a variety of tools, perform routine cleaning tasks. Prepare yourself to clean floors, wash windows, and clean bathrooms among other tasks delegated.
Working shifts is required. In accordance with the scope of work, be ready to rotate at any time as directed by the supervisor.
Counting clean linen, or assisting with messenger duties, as needed. Soiled linen in the wards must be counted and sorted.
Laundry sluicing. Manage healthcare waste in accordance with the standard.
Use personal protective equipment/personal protective clothing in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
Training is minimal and tasks are mainly executed under direct supervision.
