Receptionist Position at Small Enterprise Development Agency. The Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA) is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the position of Branch Receptionist at the SEDA Free State: Lejweleputswa Branch in Welkom.
As a Branch Receptionist, your primary responsibility will be to provide professional reception services, warmly welcome visitors, and maintain the reception area.
About SEDA:
SEDA is responsible for implementing the small business plan of the South African government. It operates as an agency of the Department of Small Business Development and was established in 2004 through the National Small Business Amendment Act, Act 29 of 2004.
SEDA’s vision is to make a difference in the lives of Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) every day, with a mission to promote entrepreneurship and develop small enterprises through customized non-financial business support services.

Receptionist Position at Small Enterprise Development Agency
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide switchboard services, including screening incoming calls and transferring them to relevant staff in the Provincial Office.
- Offer reception and administrative services.
- Handle face-to-face inquiries from visitors.
- Manage inventory relevant to the reception area and ensure its presentable appearance.
- Plan and coordinate support personnel diaries.
- Coordinate the provincial office fleet.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (NQF level 4)
- Office Administration Certificate (an added advantage)
Required Work Experience:
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience with the ability to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of switchboard systems
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of SEDA products, services, and SEDA’s role within the SMME sector
