Provide security thought leadership on core security issues facing the organization (i.e. data protection, identity and access management, digital security, data privacy, confidentiality, integrity, device protection, cloud security, availability, etc.) based on leading security practices.

Position outputs:

• Enhance security processes and tools by identifying, recommending, and implementing improvements.

• Assess, design, plan, implement, and support security solutions.

• Assess the risk associated with strategic technology initiatives.

• Assist in the design and architecture review of proposed security and business functions.

• Develop new security architecture standards to support cloud adoption, digital transformation, etc.

• Work as a subject matter expert in information security and cyber security.

• Developing, recommending, and implementing strategic and tactical business and technology roadmaps with business partners.

• Develop technical reports and presentations on enterprise security.

• Make sure you are up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies within the rail, port, and pipeline industries.

• Establish and manage standards and design patterns related to Information/Cyber Security Architecture.

Qualifications & Experience

• An honours degree in a field related to information technology

• A decade of experience in IT/cyber security

• Certifications such as the CISSP and the CCSP are relevant.

• ToGAF or SABSA are architecture-related certifications

• COBIT or ITIL certifications.

• Whenever necessary, travel for business purposes
