The South African National Parks (SANParks) offers internship opportunities

SANParks manages 3 751 113 hectares of protected land in 20 national parks, making it the largest conservation authority in the country. As a result of this law, 57 of 2003, it is given the mandate to manage protected areas under national environmental management.
SANParks Graduate Internship Programme 2023-2024
Please submit your application if you have completed your National Diploma (NQF6/NQF7) at a public higher education institution (HEI) in South Africa and would like to intern at SANParks for one (1) year with a monthly stipend of R6 030.00. If the Intern is successful, they may be offered a permanent position with the company.

- Candidates must attach their CV, copies of their matriculation or grade 12 certificates, a copy of their academic transcript (academic record) and an ID.
- Since interns earn a stipend, those who wish to apply for the Internship outside of their home area are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and transportation.
- Your application will not be considered if you do not submit the requested documents/information.
- At the time, date, and place determined by SANParks, applicants will be required to attend assessments and selection interviews.
- The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) must evaluate foreign qualifications on behalf of the applicant.
- We verify and pre-screen all internship appointments
- There is no obligation to make an appointment with SANParks.
- There will be no acceptance of manual applications.
- The only candidates who will be contacted are those who have been shortlisted.

Requirements:
Internship Placement Programme applicants must meet the following requirements:
- You must be between 18 and 35 years old and unemployed
- Applicants must be South African citizens
- Bachelor’s National Diploma (NQF 6/NQF 7) from a South African Institution of Higher Education (HEI) in the disciplines listed above/fields of study.
- The applicant must not have previously worked or been involved in an internship/placement program.
