Requirements:

Restitution applicants must possess a Grade 12 certificate and have at least one year of experience in data capturing and administration.

Job related knowledge:

  • Policy and requirements for typing in the public sector.

Job related skills:

  • Exceptional typing and communication skills (verbal and written). Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail.

Duties:

Data collected from claimants. Screen the clients to ensure they meet the criteria. Capture the data received. Compile statistics.

Track, progress, and follow up on all claims submitted for approval. Reconcile all statistical information captured. Reconcile all statistical information captured.

Organize claims file according to departmental file plan. Arrange claims by district and local municipality sequentially. Maintain folio numbers, including routing and indexing.

Respond to general inquiries, liaise with relevant stakeholders and file them appropriately. Acknowledge receipt of enquiries. Screen the inquiries on a database to make sure they are valid.
