Senior OHS Officer Vacancy: The Department of Employment and Labour
Requirements:
One (1) year functional experience in Labour market research, three (3) years of qualifications in Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, Demography, Development Studies. Experience in supervision and/or functional experience of one (1) year and/or two (2) years. Valid Driver’s License. Knowledge of Labour legislation and relevant policies, Batho Pele Principles, Labour market dynamics, Research Methodology. The following skills are necessary: Analytical, Assertive, Communication, Interpersonal, Interviewing, Innovative, Creative, Data Analysis, Statistical and Research Skills.
Duties:
Assist in the coordination of the provincial research processes aimed at evaluating the impact of labour legislation on different stakeholders. Provide administrative support to the sub-unit.

Shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical competency test, whose logistics will be communicated by the Department. The selection panel will recommend candidates to attend DPSA SMS competency assessment tools to assess their generic managerial competencies following the interview and technical exercise.
An Internship performance agreement will be required of the successful candidate.
