A candidate will be responsible for operating and supervising the electrical plant and equipment at Rand Water, reporting to the Senior Process Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

• Mathematics and science at matriculation / grade 12 / NTC 3

• As a Process Controller, you have years of experience

• The candidate should have experience with electrical switching

• Fault finding and problem solving skills based on analytical skills

• It would be advantageous if you had a valid code 08 driver’s license as well as the ability to pass the Rand Water K53 test

• An experienced Senior Process Controller must be able to manipulate information on a computer

• A Class III operator will be accepted as a Blue Drop operator if they meet the following requirements:

Primary Duties

•  Disinfection Plant (Ammonia and chlorine injection system) operation

•  The production water quality guidelines are monitored to ensure compliance.

• The safety and housekeeping of electrical pumping plants.

• Responsible for overseeing the Plant Equipment and Process Controller Assistant.

• Communicate efficiently and effectively with the Senior Process Supervisor regarding water quality and pumping.

• Manage and control of shifts.

• Energy Management
