Stakeholder Relations and Public Policy Regulatory Specialist Post at Sasol South Africa

  • Identify, initiate, implement, manage, and facilitate regional stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Identify stakeholders’ needs and the impact on business strategic objectives and develop implementation plans accordingly.

  • Analyze stakeholder needs and environments in depth, issue early warning signals, and recommend engagement strategies.

  • Incorporate regional flavour into Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

  • Assist with the planning and execution of stakeholder engagements

  • Manage and support the regional stakeholder portal’s development and implementation

  • Assess the success of community engagement and make course corrections as needed.

  • Support stakeholder engagement programs and platforms with governance and reporting

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at Sasol

  • Report municipal service delivery deviations that might affect operations as soon as possible

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

  • Identifying business, community, and regulatory requirements, including environmental scans, feasibility studies, benchmarks, assessment of regulatory frameworks, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Identification of potential investment areas and risks based on a stakeholder map.

  • Keep up with the latest CSR trends, stakeholder needs, and global initiatives.

  • Supporting Sasol’s strategy by providing community response in line with service level agreements.

  • Establish a framework for reporting and governance.

  • Assist in the implementation of projects within the parameters of ethical, corporate governance, project management, law, and resources.

  • Achieving business strategic goals by conducting impact assessments to determine value added to beneficiaries.

  • Assess stakeholder perception in relation to set standards, timelines, and expectations (business, government, community).

  • Keeping the budget expenditures up-to-date with project implementation and funds disbursement.

  • Identification of safety, health, and environmental risks for projects and interventions.

  • Plan and manage projects, solve problems, and make decisions in line with stakeholder expectations.

  • Communicate stakeholder engagement sessions to the Communications Team by developing, writing and coordinating them.

  • Achieving business performance goals by aligning the team and department with the company’s values and goals.
