An internship program is an intervention by the City of Johannesburg to address the growing demand by tertiary institutions for students to undergo on-the-job exposure, either as a pre-requisite to acquire an academic qualification or as a requirement after acquiring an academic qualification to acquire experiential training. Work-based training is a priority for the City.

Remuneration:

(Qualification with min 360 credits): R9 043,21 pm (Basic salary, no benefits) (Enrolled as a student): R3 500,00 pm (Basic salary, no benefits) LOCATION:            Metro Centre, 158 Civic Boulevard,

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Business Administration/Public Administration (tertiary qualification) at NQF level 6;

  • The institution’s confirmation letter

  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office;

  • Residents of the City of Joburg only.

Primary Function:

To manage the council’s occupational health and safety programs as assigned by the HOD, Group SHE.

  • OHASA administration / reception;

  • Logistical stuff;

  • Getting in touch;

  • Office administration

Leading Competencies:

  • Working independently is a plus.

  • Working under pressure is a plus.

  • Responsible and able to keep your stuff private.
