Requirements
In addition to a Senior Certificate in Information Technology, you should have a National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification (NQF level 6).
An advantage would be relevant ICT security certificates. Process competencies: communication, both verbal and written. Customer orientation and focus. Honesty and integrity. Service delivery innovation.
Knowledge
Monitoring and evaluation methods, tools, and techniques. Program and project management. Public Service Regulation Framework. Policy formulation process within government. Problem solving and analysis.
Duties:
To ensure maximum ICT security on both servers and clients, the successful candidate will maintain and support ICT security controls such as antivirus, patches, and firewalls.
Manage the ICT Security infrastructure, fix errors, and escalate when necessary. Assist in the implementation and testing of network security measures and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Support email security infrastructure by planning, implementing, and maintaining anti-virus software and Microsoft patches on both servers and clients.
Analyze security reports and implement mitigations to ensure maximum uptime of network equipment. Willing to travel after hours and work weekends as needed.
