In order to achieve the set targets and goals, successful candidates must plan their time and execute audit cases in accordance with standard operating procedures and legislation.

Job Purpose

In order to ensure compliance, standard audits or verifications are conducted using a risk profile.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

The candidate should have a National Diploma in an Auditing / Finance / Accounting / Tax field as well as 2-3 years of Auditing experience, including at least 1-2 years at the knowledge worker level.

Alternatively

A Senior Certificate in Auditing (NQF 4) and 5 years of Auditing experience, preferably at the level of a knowledge worker.

Minimum Functional Requirements

Auditing experience is required for this position.

Job Outputs:

Process

  • Keep yourself informed of any relevant acts, legislation, or regulations that may have an impact on the work you do.

  • Take notice of possible violations of regulations, policies, SOPs, and standards of conduct and escalate as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws through standard (limited scope) audits.

  • Organize and plan own work tasks within the area of work.

  • Submissions to the interest and penalty committee should be prepared and presented.

  • Deliver contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards, and client service goals.

  • Provide reports with recommendations applicable to the area of specialisation after collecting information.

  • Identification of trends and potential risks requires practical and applied knowledge and the ability to act authoritatively on methods, systems and procedures.

  • Communication of situational interpretation and judgements of work outputs and questions.

  • Ensure that work outputs are delivered in accordance with applicable legislation, including policies, procedures, and SOPs.

  • Maintain and improve quality and service delivery in the area of specialization by effectively planning and scheduling your own activities.

  • Change process and procedures, implement the change, and provide guidance and support relating to the new requirements.

  • Consider policy implications and make decisions/conclusions based on practical and applied knowledge and situational judgment.
