The SIU is hiring. Below are the available positions:

Manager: Information Technology – Pretoria, South Africa
Main purpose:
Maintain and enhance service levels by managing and implementing SIU technology requirements, ensuring minimal downtime and improved network connectivity.
Minimum qualification and experience:
An ITIL certification will be an advantage. A BSc (Computer Science); BCom (Information Systems); or similar professional qualification. Six years’ relevant experience in Technology, including two at managerial level.
Junior Forensic Investigator 1 Year Contract (required in all SIU offices) – South Africa, South Africa
Minimum qualification and experience:
A National Diploma or Higher Certificate in Law, Forensic Investigations, Accounting, Forensic Accounting, or related field (NQF 5/6), two years’ investigative experience, and/or experience in tracking and dealing with debtors. A valid driver’s license is required.
Key performance areas (Include but not limited to):
Collecting evidence by interviewing witnesses, obtaining statements, and collecting relevant documentation for use in investigations by tracing addresses, persons, and sites.
Assisting in questioning witnesses and defendants in accordance with section 5 (2) (c) of the SIU Act, including tracing applicants, debtors, and witnesses. Liaising with government departments and other law enforcement agencies involved in investigations.
Applications Developer – 2 Years Fixed Term Contract – Pretoria, South Africa
Main purpose:
Create and test applications designed and developed for use within SIU, applying knowledge of the system development lifecycle in developing new applications.
Develop robust, scalable, and manageable applications by applying coding principles. Write and maintain technical documentation for applications.
Collaborate with other Business Units, Enterprise Architecture, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and ICT team members in planning, designing, developing, and deploying applications.
Minimum qualification and experience:
ICT degree, or equivalent NQF level qualification. 5 years’ experience in ICT, with 2 years in application design, and a minimum of 3 years’ experience developing applications using ASP.NET 2.0 or Core, CSS, and C#.
An advantage would be exposure to and experience with “modern” programming languages and environments.
Principal Forensic Lawyer X2 (3 Years Fixed Term Contract) – Gauteng, South Africa
Main purpose:
To deliver on the project by providing quality Forensic Legal services during national, provincial and strategic investigations into maladministration and corruption within state institutions, in support of the Multidisciplinary Approach (“MDA”) to all projects/assignments.
Assisting subordinates in transferring skills and specialized knowledge by providing coaching and mentoring.
Minimum qualification and experience:
A law degree (NQF 8). Admitted as an attorney/advocate. Membership with a professional body would be advantageous. Six to eight years’ experience in forensic law, including four at management levels.
Senior Manager: Office of the Head of Unit – Pretoria, South Africa
Main purpose:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and coordinating the HoU’s Office, reporting directly to the Head of the SIU (HOU).
In addition to drafting meeting agendas and monitoring EXCO meeting and other HoU products, the incumbent will act as a liaison to HoU’s stakeholders.
Minimum qualification and experience:
LLB or related NQF 8. LLM or MBA would be an added advantage. 5-8 years’ experience as a chief of staff or providing executive support to the CEO.
It would be advantageous if you had experience in a similar industry or legal environment.
Chief Forensic Lawyer – Limpopo, South Africa
Main purpose:
To deliver on projects through the provision of quality forensic legal services during national, provincial and strategic investigations into maladministration and corruption within State institutions, as part of the multidisciplinary approach (“MDA”) to all projects / assignments.
Minimum qualification and experience:
Admitted as an Attorney / Advocate. Five years’ experience as a Forensic Lawyer, including two years at supervisory or management level. Experience in public sector investigations.
Officer: Payroll Fixed 6 months Term Contract – Pretoria
Main purpose
: To ensure that payroll is processed accurately and timely according to financial policy, procedures, and applicable laws.
Minimum qualification and experience:
You should have a degree or higher certificate in Accounting or Payroll (NQF 5/6). You should have experience in SAGE VIP Payroll Administration. You should also have knowledge of Premier HR and Enterprise Service Management (ESS).
