Responsibilities

As a Flagman, you will be responsible for:

• Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Possessing a minimum of a Grade 9 education with at least 3 months of relevant work experience.
• Holding a valid Flagmen certificate.
• Demonstrating a commitment to personal development and skill enhancement.
• Meeting physical fitness requirements (including passing a medical examination).
• Completing daily reports.
• Maintaining a safe and cooperative working relationship with your team.
• Working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Being prepared to work extended hours during emergency situations.

Key Accountabilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with basic maintenance and testing of flagmen equipment.
• Learning to operate relevant equipment.
• Prioritizing health and safety.
• Reporting any deviations and misconduct to your Supervisor.
• Being accountable for achieving the set target objectives defined by your supervisor.

Working Conditions

You can expect the following working conditions:

• Work is typically conducted in an outdoor environment.
• Work may occur within operational areas.
• Be ready to work during occupations or shifts outside of “normal” working hours.
• Be willing to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Prepare for assignments away from your home or depot.
