The Municipal Finance Management Internship Programme aims to enhance the municipality’s capacity for financial management and fulfill constitutional obligations.
It is aligned with the Division of Revenue Act (DORA) Financial Management Grant (FMG) Framework conditions.
Priority Training AreasThe internship focuses on strategic management, budgeting implementation, performance management, accounting, risk management, governance, legislation, cost and capital planning, municipal IT support, project management, SCM, PPP, and people management.
Requirements
- Matric
- Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Risk Management, and/or Auditing at NQF Level 6 and NQF 7.
- Unemployed
- Age between 21 and 35
- Resident of Chris Hani District Municipality
