Duties and Responsibilities:

General maintenance of terrain and gardens, including visitor accommodation and day visitor facilities.
Cleaning duties, including ablution blocks, picnic sites, and day visitor areas.
Basic daily administrative tasks.
Assistance with admission management at park gates within Table Mountain National Park.
Maintenance of tourism facilities, staff accommodation, and ablution blocks.
Refuse removal and braai site cleaning as needed.
Basic traffic management, access control, and vehicle parking.
Assistance with information dissemination.
Basic wildfire suppression if required.
Visual patrols of trail networks.
Permit inspection and compliance monitoring.
Foot patrols and infrastructure inspections within designated areas.
Performance of other ad hoc tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Requirements:

Grade 12 (Standard 10) or equivalent.
1-2 years of practical work experience in a similar working environment.
Basic knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and First Aid.
A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
SARS Tax Reference.
Clear Criminal Record.
Proficiency in English and other local languages.
Must be physically fit and able to work long hours on your feet, exposed to various weather conditions (e.g., sun, rain, and wind).
Willingness to work weekends and all public holidays between 15 December 2023 and 15 January 2024 as per operational requirements.
