SALARY:   

A salary of R294 321 per annum (Level 07) is offered with the possibility of annual advancement to a maximum salary of R343 815 per annum.

  •  Pretoria.

Requirements:

Act, and knowledge of the Operating Library Management Applications (Inmagic, Lexis Nexis, and SABINET), as well as hardware computer proficiency. The ability to work under pressure during peak workload periods. The ability to consistently demonstrate professional behavior, formulate ideas, and articulate those ideas clearly to others. Good client orientation and customer focus. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and innovation skills.

Duties: 

Develop and implement library and knowledge management policies, procedures, and processes. Provide support to employees for reading and research materials. Manage inquiries over the counter by email or telephone. Organize and coordinate regular knowledge management activities.

Establish new accounts, issue library cards, and maintain library equipment in good working condition. Maintain records of new and used items received, issued, stored, and retuned, and file according to library procedures. As a secretary, I provide support for office administration, coordinate unit meetings and review library subscriptions and quotations from suppliers, create reports and order equipment and stationery.

South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) evaluation certificates are required for foreign qualifications.
