Northern Cape Department of Health Opens Applications for Diploma in Nursing 2024. The Northern Cape Department of Health is pleased to announce the intake for the Diploma in Nursing for the year 2024.
Prospective students are invited to apply for this full-time study opportunity.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for the Diploma in Nursing programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric/National Senior Certificate endorsed by Umalusi, qualifying for a diploma/bachelor’s admission.
- Life Sciences level 4/Biology HG – D/SG – C.
- English level 4/HG – D/SG C.
- Mathematics/Maths Literacy and Physical Science level 3 and above (an added advantage).
- APS/Matriculation score of 24 and above for the six highest subjects (excluding Life Orientation).
- Only Northern Cape applicants will be considered.
- Applicants currently registered elsewhere will not be accepted.

HOW TO APPLY
Prospective candidates must follow these steps to complete the application process:
- Read the information and instructions carefully before completing the application form.
- Submit the application online through the e-services portal (www.e-services/health.gov.za).
- Click on Health and register; after registration, log in to apply.
COMPULSORY ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
All applicants must submit the following documents with the application form:
- Certified copy (less than three months old) of Identity Document/Card.
- Certified copy (less than three months old) of National Senior Certificate.
- Certified copy (less than three months old) of Marriage/divorce/widowed Certificate (if applicable).
- Submit certified copies within three months in cases where the name on the National Senior Certificate differs from the name on the national identity document and on the application form.
- If qualified, submit Annual Practising Certificate for nurses.
- Proof of Residence from the local municipality or Tribal Authority.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Submit certified copies in PDF format, avoiding unnecessary documents.
- Incomplete applications and documents will not be processed.
- Successful applicants will apply for a bursary from the Northern Cape Department of Health and commit to working back the equal number of years spent on training.
