ABOUT RAND WATER
Rand Water stands as the largest bulk water utility in Africa and ranks among the world’s largest, supplying potable water to over 16 million individuals across Gauteng, parts of Mpumalanga, the Free State, and North West—spanning an expansive area of 37,000 km2.
Our headquarters are situated in Glenvista, Johannesburg, South Africa.
We operate two extensive pumping and purification stations at Vereeniging and Zuikerbosch, along with four main booster stations at Zwartkopjes, Palmiet, Mapleton, and Eikenhof.
With thirteen tertiary pumping stations, 60 strategically located service reservoirs, secondary booster stations, and a regional pipeline network spanning approximately 3500km, our reach extends across Mpumalanga, Free State, and North West provinces.
As part of our growth strategy, we’re expanding our services in these regions and exploring opportunities within new markets on the continent, guided by bilateral and regional trade agreements entered into by the South African government.
