Recruitment of South Africans (x71 Posts): Employment and skills initiative for construction workers in Ireland

A draft National Labour Migration Policy (NLMP) has been developed by the Department of Employment and Labour. Under the policy, South African workers will be recruited overseas, assisted and placed, and protected throughout their migration journey, including reintegration into the labour market and social integration on their return.

In collaboration with the Irish Government: Department of Social Protection, the South African Government: Department of Employment and Labour is recruiting highly qualified South Africans to work in the construction sector.

Who can apply?

• Afro-South Africans

• There are no criminal records

• For the suitable candidates, pre-departure training will be provided

• To be considered for a role, your qualification must meet the minimum requirements

• An engineering council registration is required.

Duration

• Permit to work with critical skills for two years

• A general employment permit is valid for one year
