About SASSA
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is a national institution established in April 2005. Its primary purpose is to administer South Africa’s social security system, including the distribution of social grants on behalf of the Department of Social Development (DSD). SASSA plays a vital role in ensuring that social grants reach a significant portion of the South African population; in 2022, 46% of South Africans received these grants.

SASSA Grant Administrator Positions Now Open for Applications
As a Grant Administrator, you will play a crucial role in the administration of social grants at the local office level. Your responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently screening all grant applications
- Capturing applications in the system
- Providing excellent customer care
- Processing various grant documents and performing related administrative functions
- Conducting quality control on grant applications
- Ensuring compliance with Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Chapter 6, Part 3
Qualifications
Minimum requirements for this position include:
- Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
- 0-1 years of relevant experience
An added advantage would be possessing a valid driver’s license and administrative/clerical experience.
