Requirements:
Willingness to adjust to office schedules in accordance with office requirements. Grade 12 Certificate plus at least 2-3 years’ experience in records management. Competencies that are generic/processal include: Basic numeracy, computer literacy, information gathering, analytical thinking, problem-solving, time management, routine tasks, interpersonal relations, and the ability to handle sensitive information.
The following technical competencies are required: Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) Act; National Archives and Records Act; Record-keeping procedures and standards; Office administration processes and systems.
Duties:
As part of this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the filing system and records: Control and protect records, Manage and maintain archives, manage and utilize space for archives, file all documents and protect them, Manage and maintain archives, manage and utilize space for archives, file all documents,
Prepare, open, and maintain files and records, and control and protect records; Manage mail flow: Distribute documents to the department, apply dispatching rules, receive mail, etc.
parcels and remittances/transferrable items, receive , open and sort post, despatch mail received, search and trace files, administer movement of files; Manage sensitive documents; Render clerical support as and when required.
