South African Forestry Company SOC Limited-Apprenticeship Programme 2024. SAFCOL invites unemployed youth aged 18 to 35 to apply for their Apprenticeship Programme 2024. This program offers a chance for aspiring artisans to gain valuable skills and experience.

- Location
Selected learners will be stationed at Louise Trichardt (Makhado) during the apprenticeship.
- Stipend
Learners will receive a monthly stipend throughout the apprenticeship duration.

South African Forestry Company SOC Limited-Apprenticeship Programme 2024
SAFCOL’s Apprenticeship Programme is designed for individuals who aspire to become artisans. Successful candidates will undergo a three-year training program at a recognized Training Centre, including workplace training at the Timbadola sawmill near Louise Trichardt (Makhado).
The program encompasses several artisan trades, including:
- Fitter & Turner
- Millwright
- Electrical
- Diesel Mechanic (Motor trade)
- Boiler Making
Upon completing occupational knowledge, practical training, and workplace learning, apprentices will be required to undergo a final summative assessment (Trade test) as mandated by the Skills Development Act to become certified qualified artisans.

Requirements
To qualify for the Apprenticeship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African Citizen
- Must be an unemployed youth aged 18 to 35
- Recommended to have completed grade 12 (not a strict prerequisite)
- Must possess a minimum of N2 or Level 3 Technical Vocational Education & Training (TVET) certificate in the relevant trade theory.
