Underground Mining Millwright Apprenticeships 2024 of AECI Mining

As part of the apprenticeship program, successful candidates will:

  • Receive comprehensive training in the designated trade(s).
  • Follow a formal training plan, making consistent progress towards achieving competencies outlined in the training program.
  • Adhere to SETA requirements (Unit Standards) for the successful completion of the Apprenticeship program.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures, ensuring adherence to guidelines, regulations, and legislation.
  • Maintain medical fitness for work in a chemical environment, including tasks conducted at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications Required

To be eligible for the Underground Mining Millwright Apprenticeships, candidates must have:

  • Mechanical Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science.
  • N3 Certificate with English, Engineering Science, Maths, and N3 Trade Theory.
  • Unemployment status, aged between 18 and 25.
  • Minimum valid Code B Driver’s License (advantageous).
