VACANCY
Job title: Fieldworker (2 Months Temp Contract)
Type: Permanent ☐ Fixed Term ☐ Temporary ☒
Main purpose of the job: Provide administrative support, data collection, and data capture accuracy
Location: It will be located in the surrounding area of Potchefstroom (PHRU – Tshepong Hospital, Matlosana, Klerksdorp)

Key performance areas

  • The clinics that need to be recruited should be mapped and identified

  • Keeping in touch with local clinic staff Scheduling appointments

  • Perform study-related duties in accordance with the protocol

  • Fill out the case report forms according to the study’s standard operating procedures

  • Regularly communicate with the principal investigator and the study coordinator

  • The study results and any other study related documents should be filed in the appropriate place. Study data should be logged into REDCap or any other system that you choose.

  • Perform ad hoc tasks, as and when necessary, for the study coordinator.

  • Conduct fieldwork activities as necessary by transporting study staff, documents, and any study related materials from local clinics to the site

  • Whenever necessary, assist the research team

Required minimum education and training

  • Matric

  • Skills in computer use are moderate

  • Driving license and ability to drive

Required minimum work experience

  • Having at least 1 year of experience in a research or clinical setting

  • A driver’s license and one year’s experience

  • Ability to work in a complex and demanding environment

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities

  • PDP would be an asset

  • Having the ability to multitask

  • The ability to pay attention to detail is essential

  • The candidate must be able to work in a team and speak the local language

  • The researcher is expected to adhere to GCP practices and apply consistent research methods
