Duties and Responsibilities

The Creditors Clerk’s role involves several key responsibilities:

  1. Payment Arrangements: Capture invoices and prepare reconciliations for creditors.
  2. Credit Applications: Ensure that credit applications are completed and approved.
  3. Utility Account Payments: Manage and ensure the payment of utility accounts.
  4. Financial Reporting: Handle month-end and year-end reporting duties.
  5. Audit Support: Assist in preparing and facilitating audits.
  6. Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
  7. Flexible Hours: Be willing to work outside regular hours when necessary.
  8. Dynamic Environment: Work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  9. Independent and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education: Matric/Grade 12
  • Qualification: Diploma or equivalent in Financial Accounting or a related field
  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license
  • Experience: At least two years of experience in a similar role
  • ERP Software: Knowledge and experience with ERP software, preferably Accpac
  • B-BBEE Codes: Familiarity with the latest B-BBEE codes
  • Pressure Handling: Ability to work under extreme pressure to meet deadlines
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time Management: Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to regular changes
