Duties and Responsibilities
The Creditors Clerk’s role involves several key responsibilities:
- Payment Arrangements: Capture invoices and prepare reconciliations for creditors.
- Credit Applications: Ensure that credit applications are completed and approved.
- Utility Account Payments: Manage and ensure the payment of utility accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Handle month-end and year-end reporting duties.
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing and facilitating audits.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform ad hoc assignments as required.
- Flexible Hours: Be willing to work outside regular hours when necessary.
- Dynamic Environment: Work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Independent and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Education: Matric/Grade 12
- Qualification: Diploma or equivalent in Financial Accounting or a related field
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license
- Experience: At least two years of experience in a similar role
- ERP Software: Knowledge and experience with ERP software, preferably Accpac
- B-BBEE Codes: Familiarity with the latest B-BBEE codes
- Pressure Handling: Ability to work under extreme pressure to meet deadlines
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Time Management: Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to regular changes
