The Maintenance Operator will support the Maintenance Team by providing effective equipment maintenance assistance and reliability while adhering to procedures/codes, to ensure equipment stability and longevity.

Functional Outputs

• Ensure that all tasks/checklists are completed accurately.

• Monitoring the working environment for safety standards and reporting any unsafe conditions to superiors.

• To ensure housekeeping standards are upheld, SOPs and COPs are applied to each job.

• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team to achieve team goals.

• Identify and act on cost saving initiatives as part of your awareness of how your actions affect your team’s costs.

• All tasks should be reported.

Job Requirements

The following clauses should be noted:

• A physical fitness assessment may be required as part of the normal selection process in addition to a preemployment medical examination.

Qualifications:

• English, Math, and Science in Grade 12/N3/NCV Level 4

• Completed Level 2 Mechanical (wish)

• Certification in First Aid

• Certificate of fitness from a medical professional

• (5) Gases/Competent A/B

 Specific experience required 

• Experience mining underground coal for 12 months (Wish)
